11:25 am - fic idea...
So I have this idea for a fic that's...just an idea. My writing skills honestly are limited but I would love this idea to actually get on paper. Anyone want to take it on? *g* Might help if you actually knew what it was:
Let's say Angel and Spike are in an established relationship (how they get there is up to the author), when Spike gets transported to another dimension via a portal while they are on a case. To Angel et al, Spike is only gone for about 5 days. But to Spike, it's been a couple hundred years. The Fang Gang get him back, but Spike had long ago given up hope of ever returning and kind of established a life in that dimension already...without Angel. Spike questions his love for Angel after all this time, and Angel is striving to pick up where they left off. Feel free to throw in some competition for Angel as you see fit.
I'm imagining the other dimension to be somewhat parallel to ours. So no Feral!Spike or anything like that. His mind is all there...it's just been a really f-ing long time.
Anyone want to write this fic? :)

01:16 pm - coolest costume ever.
Last weekend I was looking for a costume in Santa Cruz. I come out of a store and ran right into Spike! Or someone who was dressed up like him anyway. This guy had the look perfectly. Platinum blond hair, long duster, black jeans, black t-shirt, and the docs. He had the same bone structure too and the only thing that was different was his height. I was wide-eyed and I might have gushed a little bit *g*
I so wanted to take a picture with him but didn't have a camera :(
I love Halloween.

11:22 pm - LJ sadness
Everybody in the fandom probably knows about all the LJ drama going around and the new censorship things happening. As a result, LOTS of writers closing or flocking their journals. I totally respect people's decision to do so, but I just want to express my personal frustration and sadness towards this whole situation.
I don't write much, and there aren't many of my comments out there but I really do spend a lot of my time on LJ reading every single Spangel story out there that I can find. So, yes, I'm mostly a lurker.
And it saddens and frustrates me that LJ is no longer a place people feel comfortable sharing their work with everybody else anymore. Of course I'm also biting my nails about the fact that a lot of stories in the fandom will be unavailable to me now due to the flocking. And frankly, I feel uncomfortable asking people to friend me since I've only been lurking and they don't really know me. My personal life and LJ life are very separate, and I don't get involved in other LJers personal business even when they have posts about it.
So I guess my post is basically saying it sucks to be somebody who isn't involved in the drama but just wants to read some good stories! That may sound selfish and self-serving, or whatever, but I'm positive there's other people out there like me who don't really care about all the debates going on in the fandom about characterization, or fanon vs canon, but just want to read all the good shit out there.
So, yeah. There's just very little reason left to remain on LJ if stories aren't available anymore. At least for someone like me.
I truly hope this all blows over.

Whoa. I'm watching Adam Baldwin in a TV movie, The Poseidon Adventure. It's based on the novel about a ship capsizing. He plays a rather serious looking homeland security officer.

06:37 pm - sunday and request for fics!
I finally saw Pirates of the Carribean Dead Man's Chest, despite all my friends' and family's bashing of it. I actually liked it. It wasn't as funny and didn't have as brilliant of a plot as the first time, but I"m hoping it'll provide a good set up for the third and final installment of the this trilogy.
Watching it really made me want to read some PotC fic...especially Jack/Will and Jack/Elizabeth ones :)
Any suggestions?

So I was doing an AIDS Walkathon today in my city. Different vendors give out free things along various checkpoints as a contribution and as a way toadvertise. So I"m jogging along, and this woman stuffs a pen in my hand. It's in the shape of a bone, so i assumed it was advertisement for some local vet or something.
Turns out, it's a promo pen for the Bones show. haha. It's white, bone-shaped, and it says BONES and Fox on it. pretty darn cool.
just thought i'd share that.

"Go 'way." Spike mumbled trying to snuggle back down into the covers, determined to ignore the other vampire.
Angel buried his nose into platinum curls and breathed in the scent of his childe. "Spike." He murmured.
"Wot?" Spike let out with a small growl.
Angel tightened his arms around the smaller body and nuzzled into Spike’s neck to whisper, “I love you.”
Spike blinked open his eyes. And then he let out a put upon sigh. “Poof.”
Angel’s lips twitched and then grew into a grin when he felt Spike’s hand move to cover and squeeze his.

hey everyone. a little help please. i'm looking for this fic. Spangel, kind of AU. Angel and Spike have been lovers, Spike is without soul, and Angel never fell in love with Buffy. But then he travels to a parallel universe that is basically the story line we know of from the show. That's all I remember. oh! and Willow and Spike are best friends.
I read it not TOO long ago, but don't remember where....please help?
